A business Schengen Visa permits third-country nationals to enter the Schengen Area
for a máximum of 90 days within a 6-month period, under the purpose of doing
business in the EU. You have to submit your application for a business Schengen visa
to the consulate or embassy of the country where you will be entering or residing
the most during your business trip.
There is a service charge of 16.90 Euro (inclusive of VAT) per visa application in
addition to the visa, fee payable by all applicants and visa categories.

- The applicable Visa Fee in Euros (€) is as per the current exchange rate and is subject to change without
notice.
- The following categories of applicants are exempted of Visa fees:
- Children under 6 years
- Pupils, students and accompanying teachers during a school trip
- Researchers travelling to perform scientific research
- Representatives of non-profit organisations aged 25 years or less participating in seminars, conferences,
Sports, cultural or educational events organised by non-profit organisations.
BLS International Service charge
- The Special Delivery facility for the return of processed applications is available at a fee of 29.99 Euro
(Inclusive of VAT) per application. This is an optional service.
- The SMS and email notification for the processing of the applications is available at a fee of 2.99 Euro
(Inclusive of VAT) per application. This is an optional service.
- The Visa fees can be paid by cash only. Cheque payments and
direct bank transfers are not accepted.
- All fees are non-refundable
Travel Insurance is mandatory for travelling to Spain. You may get your travel
insurance from any authorized insurance company/agent or you may Click here if you wish to avail it now from

"Checklist"
Please note all of the required documentation listed below is mandatory for all
applicants, including such cases where flights, accommodation, insurance and other
items may be arranged by applicant’s employer, travel companies or any other
companies or individuals. If applying as a family, all family members must provide
their own individual documents.
Please provide 1 set of all documents per person (Included kids): Only copy.
The Spanish Consulate could request additional documents.
- Online Application Form. Please ensure it is
fully completed, signed in both required fields, and bring with you when
attending for your appointment Please note that forms submitted from any other
source will not be accepted.
- Passport/travel document. Please provide the original and a copy of the
page with your personal data and photo. Your passport will not be accepted if it
has been issued more than 10 years ago as of the date of return from your
scheduled trip. The same applies to passports issued more than 10 years ago that
have since been extended. Your passport must also be valid for at least another
90 days beyond your return date from Schengen area, and must have at least 2
blank adjacent visa pages in it.
- Irish re-entry visa
Valid (for at least three months after the date of expiry of the visa applied
for).
- Irish certificate of registration (GNIB card)
(Also known as Garda/ Green Card), valid for at least three months after the
date of expiry of the visa applied for)
- Proof of current address in Ireland
(ESB bill, telephone bill, gas bill, bank statement, rent book, lease agreement
etc.)
- Proof of current occupation in Ireland:
- Letter from your employer in Ireland explaining in detail the nature and
duration of your stay in Spain and, if applicable, in other Schengen
states, and whether it concerns single, double or multiple entry; proof
of board, lodging and other travel expenses including health insurance,
if covered by your employer.
- If the company in Spain is a different company than your employer in
Ireland, an official letter of invitation from your business partner is
required. This letter must state and confirm the details given in the
letter from your employer in Ireland and indicate cover of your travel
expenses, if applicable. Your counterpart and/ or the organizer of your
trip in Spain must be named and contact details given.
- Evidence that you have sufficient financial means
To support yourself during your journey (most recent bank statement stating your
name and address and showing transactions for the last three months).
- Proof of medical insurance cover
The Embassy only accepts an individual or group travel insurance covering the
costs for emergency treatment by a doctor or in a hospital and repatriation to
your country of residence. The insurance must be valid in all Schengen states
for the duration of your stay and must have a minimum cover of 30,000 Euro per
person. Applicants should take medical insurance in Ireland.
- Return ticket
Upon application: confirmed hotel/hostel/B&B reservation(s) covering the
whole duration of your stay in Spain and, if applicable, in other Schengen
countries.
Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements
Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used
previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:
- Taken against white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
- Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
- Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
- Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such
items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
- Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.
Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these
requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available
at the centre.
Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at The Embassy
of Spain in Dublin. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional
documentation in support of the same. Please note that the minimum processing time is between 3 and 4 weeks.

Applicants can apply for Visa between 6 months and up to 15 days before the planned travel.
Any application submitted with less than 15 days before the travel will not be accepted by the
consulate
